Community loans

Adelante África lends small amounts of money to families or groups of families with viable development projects. The loans are interest free but participants are asked to volunteer a service or give interest in kind to the Children’s Home. (e.g. helping in the gardens or giving some of the excess food they have produced).

The warden and a member of staff at Omwaana Tugende are responsible for recording the payment returns and that participants keep to their promises of interest in kind or service to the Children’s Home.

Click HERE to find tables that have been designed to help with this. They have details of who is receiving loans, a brief description of the projects and how they have promised to pay these back.
